Lovely! I initially first bought these shoes outside of the Amazon platform, and was forced to join the bandwagon as everyone was saying they would advice at least half a size larger. In truth, I had to return those shoes and purchase my true size here on Amazon. They left me plenty of space to layer two socks without feeling like they're falling off my feet (like the other ones did). I am very pleased with the material; they are truly waterproof. Where I live we have heavy rain because we are in a flood zone, soometimes four days straight- so if you are not counting on your boots, your feet can get soaked pretty bad. These met the task. I think they are a beautiful brown color. Although they have no insulation, the boots are thick enough that you feel warm. Then again, I don't live in a place that requires heavy winter boots. I am really impressed with their quality and how durable they look; they also have a really nice arch. They are a bit pricey but I think they'll last me a while, and at least the seller that I purchased it from here did not go over the $100 pricetag.Oh did I mention I had no problem driving in them too? I was scared at first but they played the part!I had a 1-week trip booked to a place that seemed to have really unpredictable weather - forecast kept changing, then a few days before I was schedule to go, it was showing that some days it would rain a lot and some days it wouldn't rain at all. I only had enough space for 1 pair of shoes, and I needed something that would be neutral enough to go with many different outfits, but versatile enough that I could wear through rain or no-rain weather. Rubber rain boots were out of the question, but I also knew I was going to be out and about through some possibly heavy rains. I found these boots in here and thought the price was pretty fair, and they looked like they would work. When they arrived, I was immediately in love with them. They are so incredibly comfortable, they feel like they already come with insoles. And, they look so cool and of a "classy casual" style, they worked perfect with all my outfits and seamlessly survived through rough rain without even a spot. Seriously, amazing buy.I work at a bar in a wintry area and I needed to replace the fast-fashion combat boots I bought in high school once they started to fall apart. I picked these boots because they're sturdy but still cute. They're not hiking or work boots, but they have good enough traction to walk to and from work in slush and snow and are comfy enough to wear for 8-10 hours shifts where I'm constantly on my feet. They wipe clean pretty easily and after a month have minimal signs of wear - since they're leather, minor scuffs tend to buff off. I don't walk through puddles but these are certainly water-resistant enough for me.A note about size - several years ago I bought a pair of Sorel winter boots in a size 7 and they're a great fit (even have enough extra room to wear thick socks). I initially ordered these combat boots in a 7.5 since the reviews said to size up, and the 7.5 was too snug so I exchanged for an 8, which fit perfectly. So definitely size at least a half size, maybe a full size up.I really do like these boots a lot. I really really like the gray color and the feel of the leather /nubuck is really nice. These boots can be dressed up or down. They look really cute with leggings and jeggings. I haven't worn them in bad weather yet, but they're supposed to be waterproof. Either way, I really like these Sorels. For reference my feet are average width, not wide. I know that Sorels run a bit small & narrow so I ordered 1 size up and the fit is perfect. I can wear any kind of socks I want and they fit great. Here's breakdown of these boots: I normally wear a size 8 shoe. I ALWAYS buy a 8.5 in Sorel boots. The 8.5 in the Phoenix boot was still too tight. I returned and got the 9. It fits beautifully!!! I go to many concerts and festivals, and these boots are stylish and sturdy. They are not workboots, but they are quite solid with a bouncy sole that's good for walking. I have an average width foot, so if your feet are really wide this may not be the boot for you. Runs narrow.I did a lot of research before buying these boots. I needed waterproof boots because I live in the PNW. They needed boots comfortable enough I could wear when I walk 3 miles with my dogs. So far they’ve been great!I normally wear a 9 but after reading reviews saying they run small decided to order a 9 1/2. They fit very well. I haven’t had a chance to do much walking in them yet but I’m sure they’ll be fine.I LOVE these boots. I have wide feet in the toe area and these are pretty narrow but after a couple wears they break in well and they don’t feel snug on my toes anymore. I wear them all day for hours and work outside in the snow. They keep my feet super warm and dry. They’re definitely great for the snow/rain and have a great grip on the sole for protection against slipping. I highly recommend these!Very nice boots, Sorel does not disappointLove the boot. Disappointed in sizing as I ordered a half size larger than my normal size and the typical size I order for boots and I can barely slide bare feet into these. They are also quite narrow so I’m still deciding if I’ll keep or not.Love them, exactly what I wanted!
